A word from the Region Chair:
So glad you are attending our 51st Festival held during the 50th Anniversary year of KCACTF which began with festival 1 in 1969. I was 14 that year and attend my first KCACTF Festival (#6) as a freshman in 1974.

A little about me

Joel has served on the faculty of Appalachian State University since 1992. For 10 years prior, he taught at LaGrange College. His primary training and production responsibility area is directing and he received recognition for "Excellence in Direction" from KC-ACTF Region IV for his work on the student written full length play, The Pursuit of Mr. Rockefeller. He currently serves as the Region IV - Chair of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Past service positions include: Board Member of North Carolina Theatre Conference; State Chair of KCACTF; Respondent Coordinator and Coordinator of the Devised Theatre Project for Region IV of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. HIs professional work has included acting and directing at the Blowing Rock Stage Company and serving as scenic designer and technical director for the Barter Players' summer shows at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia.
